Winner 2008
Nearly 300 winter photos of Purdue and the surrounding community made this photo contest incredibly difficult to judge! In the end, we looked for those photos which most closely aligned with the judging criteria, namely, those photos which showed graduate students engaged in fun winter activities at or near Purdue. The following photos emerged as our winners.
 
 
First Place, Aliel C. graduate student in English. "Grad students trying to ice skate!"
 
 

Second Place, Josanne A., graduate student in Management. "Tip-off of one of the more important home men's basketball games with a packed Mackey Arena."  
 
 
Third Place, Spencer S., graduate student in Management. "Pulling my daughter on a blow-up sled; we were going to the cafeteria for lunch."  
 
 
Many other photos caught our attention, and while it is impossible to share them all, below is a small selection of our "special mentions." There were some great photos that were simply outcompeted because of the theme in this particular contest.
