Current Research Interests:

I am studying the interaction of MalT, maltose regulon transcription activator, with the maltose transport system in E. coli, MalFGK2 by affinity-chromatography and size-exclusion chromatography.

My long-term research involves understanding the gating mechanism and substrate-binding of the MalFGK2 using site-directed spin labeling with electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy.


Training Groups are topic-oriented research groups consisting of faculty from multiple departments. Training groups are an administrative home for PULSe students, a student choice that impacts curriculum and research training activities.
